The world will only treat you as well as you allow it today. I’m going to go over 10 things that a man should never accept or tolerate from anybody.

Never tolerate as a man.

  1. Being disrespected in public. Also in private. If somebody talks down to you or embarrasses you in front of others or does it privately, it’s not a joke or funny. Walk away. They give zero respect for you.
  2. Using sexuality or intimacy as a weapon. A healthy relationship is not A hostage negotiation. No one should prevent you or withhold intimacy to punish you.
  3. Disloyalty or harmless flirting. If she’s texting her ex-boyfriend or friends to keep her options open, or if you tolerate this, you’re essentially saying it’s a disrespect to yourself.
  4. Constant criticism without praise. If there’s anyone who constantly puts you down or tells you that you’ve done something wrong or stupid, you need to reevaluate.
  5. Changing your core values or who you are. If you’re with somebody who’s trying to change the fundamental person you are, it’s not okay because they should be facilitating your growth.
  6. Somebody who disrespects your time. If you have friends or others who are always late or canceling at the last moment, they are not respecting you. Your time is your most valuable asset. Protect it. They need to give you courtesy and not manipulate your time.
  7. One-Sided relationships. If you’re the one who’s always putting forth the energy, effort, or reciprocation, don’t tolerate that. Healthy relationships require both people to put in effort to make them work.
  8. Guilt tripping you for saying something. You may need to leave people behind, which can make you feel bad about saying no.
  9. Lack of accountability. If you have somebody who never owns up to their mistakes or flaws, they’re gaslighting you. Get away from them.
  10. Someone breaking your trust. Once, fine. Shame on them. People make mistakes. But if they do it a second time, shame on them because you taught them. It’s okay and that they’re facing consequences for their actions.
