The current

Solar can cover the acres. Watts still have to be counted.

Energy is not magic. It is not a utility that arrives from nowhere and disappears when the bill is paid. It is the conversion of sunlight into work. The sun is free. The equipment is not. The watts have to be counted because the sun does not always shine, and the battery does not always hold.

The modern grid is a miracle and a trap. It delivers power on demand, but it is fragile, centralized, and vulnerable. A single line goes down and the lights go out. A single price spike and the budget breaks. We are not against the grid — we are against dependence on it. We generate our own. We store our own. We manage our own.
